Waking up in Mexico City

William happy to be back in Mexico

William happy to be back in Mexico

Good morning from the NH hotel in the Reforma /Zona Rossa area of Mexico City. After a very long flight (11 hours) from Heathrow we arrived in Mexico City.We flew British Airways and they looked after us very well but I didn’t really sleep much. When we reached the hotel we were given a beautiful room on the 16th floor and I have been up since 6 am looking out over the city. It is huge and there is lot of traffic. The suitcase with the tapestries arrived safely and so did our William Lamport mascot who is joining me for the trip.William also appeared on the t.v. yesterday but I can’t open the link too see it from here.He is enjoying the king sized bed in the hotel room at the moment. It is warm this morning but some of the rain from Hurricane Patricia is heading this way.We are going to explore the Reforma area today and I am hoping to take some nice photos to share on this blog, my mother is hoping that we don’t get lost and said that our William mascot wasn’t much use with the luggage last night.
I can’t wait to explore the city today and to see what Mexico city and the people are like, watch for some photos from me(just need to charge all our devices first but the WiFi is great ).
p.s. Happy birthday to my brother Charlie!

Hope you’re having a good time. Did you feel Hurricane Patricia?

      Hi Finian,
Having a great time and the weather is warm and dry even though rain is predicted everyday, the city is huge and full of noise and traffic even in the middle of the night but the people are very nice,we are going to see the Aztec pyramids on Wednesday.
